Be Square Aware
The original owners once owned and operated a cooperage. A cooperage is a place that makes wooden casks, barrels, vats, and other containers from narrow lengths of wood (staves) that were usually heated or steamed to make them pliable.
Organized as a self-guided tour through our historic boulevards and tree-lined streets, Pillars & Porticos is sure to be your new go-to reference to the diverse heritage of significant homes, monuments, churches and gardens. Spend some quality time sight-seeing these neighborhood gems or gift the tour to your out-of-town guests.
Built in 1842, the Paramount Theater is still operating today as the Logan Theater.
